I grew up in Manhattan, Kansas, sometimes referred to as the “little apple”. After graduating from Manhattan High School I accepted a scholarship for track/cross country at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. I competed for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. During that time I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. To accomplish this I needed to accumulate patient care hours, so I moved to a cute little mountain town in Colorado, Durango. I worked as a medical assistant for a year and was then accepted to the PA class of 2022 at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, which was only a quick train ride away from the “big apple”. After PA school I accepted a position in General Surgery in New London, Connecticut where I worked and expanded upon my surgical skills/technique for one year prior to returning to that cute little mountain town I fell in love with. Hobbies include trail running, backpacking/camping, skiing, reading, and playing with my dog Cashew.
